Its been 8 weeks and Ive called more than 10 times only to get the run-a-round. Im just waiting for the RA department to approve a refund but evidently that takes at least 3-4 weeks. What a joke

I loved this fridge when I bought it. The size and room inside are great. 3 years later and the compressor broke and I lost $400 worth of food including speciality dog food for my special needs dog. Going on my THIRD week waiting for my parts to be delivered and Im getting desperate. I need to save money and have this repaired for free but I may have to buy a new fridge because I have wedding guests coming in a week I will never buy an LG appliance EVER again.

We bought the fridge in 2021. The fridge was great and worked fine. However suddenly the fridge stopped cooling. We have been waiting for four weeks with four trips of a technicians to fix the issue. Still no resolution. Customer service has not resolved the issue. We have two young kids have lost money on groceries have no way of storing food had to throw out all the breast milk for our baby and still no answers. I will never buy an LG product again. I am hearing the same issues from others. The technician also said he could not fix our door because it would break again in a few weeks because that is what LG doors do. The worst.

There are a lot of things I love about this fridge Its spacious looks good feels sturdy. Did NOT love that the compressor randomly died at 3.5years old. To their credit LG replaced right away but spoke to some appliance repair people who said yup happens all the time on these LGs - if its a known issue why hasnt it been addressed?

I bought this refrigerator and at first loved it. 3 years into having it the compressor stops working. I contact LG but when I go to get the serial number a portion of it was missing. Apparently one of my sons attempted to peal off the sticker not knowing any better. Because I cannot provide the number LG wont fix my compressor. Under normal warranty circumstances I could understand this policy. But when you have MULTIPLE class action lawsuits and THOUSANDS of customer stories that are EXACTLY like mine it is obvious that this is ENTIRELY the fault of LG and they should care about their customers enough to rectify a faulty product that they sold knowing full well it is a faulty product I have very little money. I couldnt afford this refrigerator when I bought it and now I feel like I may as well have just lit that money in fire. Somehow I have to borrow money from a friend so I can get a working fridge. My dishwasher and washer amd dryer are all LG. These are the last LG appliances I will ever buy. LG sells faulty products and steals money from ppl. I cannot believe they will not fix something that THEY KNOW IS BROKEN BECAUSE OF THEIR NEGLIGENCE.

Bought the refrigerator 3.5 years ago. Coolest then went out. Called LG. Said they would find a repair service. After waiting I found one. Man Saud the coolest leaked out and cannot fix due to R600 coolent. Cant refill. I bought a new refrigerator not LG. 2 weeks later LG calls saying they can schedule a repair service Lol. Im supposed to wait 3 weeks without a refrigerator? Never again

Our 4 year old refrigerators compressor died on August 19 2024. We have been without one with just a cooler and you wont sent out a repairman until September 4th. This has been a real hardship for us seniors and its not over yet.

After 4 years compressor went out. After 22 days with no refrigeration 3 phone calls to LG finally a technician replaced the part. Very disappointing with LG response. Every time I explained my husband was a diabetic and needed medication refrigerated.

Bought 2 of these refrigerator/ freezer and both have serious compressor issues. Have had multiple service calls provided several videos and LG refuses to replace them unless they go completely out UNACCEPTABLE in my book but what can you do. Their customer service is crap I will NEVER buy anything LG again

Unfortunately my experience has not been favorable. Fridge had issue at 3 years old had Lowes extended warranty tech found the cooling fan for fridge was never connected from factory. We thought the fridge was very warm to touch on exterior so Im sure that issue didnt help longevity. Latest issue now 4 years old compressor failure lost $$ in food second time paid appliance company to diagnose honest co informed us the sealed unit was under warranty for 5 years. Had to buy another fridge to live frustrating to get LG service help after continued pressure from me got service 6 days later and fridge is working again for how long?

I love my LG French door bottom freezer refrigerator. Its perfect for the configuration of my kitchen and works great. Nice temperature control. I live having things at eye level and the freezer is perfect for stacking my food prep containers.

Our fridge is not working

It was great at first but after 3 years it broke down and LG hasnt contacted us its been 2 weeks since weve called and we have 4 kids in the house we have no fridge right now but we are using a cooler and have to buy ice every 3 days please contact us LG and bring some one to come fix our fridge we have a 7 year warranty left

Bad design for filter replacement.

I bought this refrigerator about 4 years ago. At that time Consumer Reports had it rated top dog. They couldnt be more wrong. I dont think they fully tested this model to discover the pitfalls it has. It totally quit in which I had to replace major parts to get it working again. All under warranty at that time. My biggest complaint is that the ice maker has had trouble making ice from day 1. The repair man here to fix the major problem said that because of condensation around the interior keeps freezing up and forming big chunks of ice that prevents the ice maker from working. He said the only way to keep it working was to remove the rear panel to get access to the area of the ice build -up. Then remove the ice build -up. NOT PRACTICAL for 21st century appliances. I definitely wish that I had purchased a different brand. Im afraid I am stuck with this unit because of the amount I paid for it. No more LGs for me.

We have had this refrigerator for a month now and LOVE it. Tons of space including a large freezer - my favorite a small shelf in the fridge where I can put a casserole dish or meat/cheese tray - leaves more space in the refrigerator for everything else.

I bought this Refrigerator 4 years ago 7/3/2020 worked great until last year2023 stopped cooling we had you come out and diagnose problem you replaced compressor. worked great up until few weeks ago same problem not cooling or freezing again same diagnosis was made faulty compressor again other than that it had alot of room inside.

My refrigerator broke not cooling but all lights on and fan blowing. Talked to customer service the agent was great. Setup a service time for a tech to come out. It was a few days later but fine to have it checked before getting a new fridge for $1600-$2000. Technician called and shielded up when he said replaced the compressor. The fridge is working great now. Email communication from LG was fantastic.

Great fridge... while it works

Love the refrigerator. Worked great for about 34 months. Then the ice maker broke. Called about warranty work for it and got nowhere. Luckily the compressor went out just a few weeks later and I lost all my food so I could get the ice maker fixed too. I still havent figured out how to get reimbursed for spoiled food with the warranty. Also the nearest place that would do warranty work was 3 1/2 hours away. After about a month it got fixed. Too bad I had to buy a new refrigerator after a couple of weeks so I had a place to put my food and at the time I had no idea if it would even get fixed. So Im down about $1500 and now have 2 indoor refrigerators. Poor initial service. But it did eventually get fixed.

The condenser failed after 4 years and there is nobody who can do the warranty work. I was quoted $1000 to fix the fridge out of network. Looking online this seems to be a common issue that LG has not addressed.
