We have been pleased with our purchase. Internally it is larger than the equivalent sized unit it replaced. The liner is easy to clean. Heating is quick, even, and easy to regulate. The reason for the 4/5 stars is that closing the door is noticeably louder than any other microwave we're owned.

I got this microwave to pair with a new Bosch induction range. Despite it not being a dedicated hood, it vents the heat really well, and prevents steam build up when boiling large pots of water. Would certainly buy again!

We exchanged our 8 year old Samsung and looked for a unit that would last longer and fit our lifestyle better. This was it and has done all we hoped. Easy install, fit and finish as you would like, wife loves how it works and I can operate it too! Thanks!

We had a great GE Profile microwave for over 20 years and were reluctant to replace it. But so far, the Bosch has been great. Works well, fairly quiet. My only complaint after one month is that tge control pad doesn't light up, so you need to turn on the kitchen light to use it.

Replaced a Maytag unit with a Bosch 500 Series Microwave. Installed well by the vendor and works excellent. We don't have a use for the metal rack though. Heats food quickly.

They don't make them like they used to. I replaced my 25 year old microwave with the Bosch 500 Series. When you open and close the door it sounds just like a tin can. It works fine. Another critique is the control panel has such small numbers and words you can't see them until you almost put your eyeball on the control panel. It would be nice to have the control panel completely back lit so you can see everything better.

The microwave arrived with a internal fan noise following installation. Fan and motor were replaced by a certified technician at no cost. It is working fine, but wonder about the longevity of the microwave given the poor quality check at the factory. Time will tell.

The microwave works and heats well. The fan is very noisy In all 4 speeds. The fan runs when the microwave is on so the microwave is noisy.

Had this microwave for right at 2 years, it has completely quit heating anything. Customer service and warranty people were no help at all. Very disappointing to spend this much money and he such a terrible product advertised as high end. Since there was 0 help given I definitely won't ever buy from Bosch again

Looks nice and vents well. I only use for reheating, so cannot review the convection feature. My only issue with this microwave is the noise/amount of time the cooling unit runs when time is up.

I'm replacing another Bosch that worked for 14 (glorious) years and I was delighted to see this new one used all the same mounting hardware. My neighbor told me stories about how installing microwaves can be a nightmware. Not so for this one. I reused the same mounting plate on the wall, and also the same over-the-cabinet holes for the bolts on the top. This was the first time I've installed a microwave and the entire process took less than an hour. The new model looks fantastic and the two LED lights on the bottom really light up the oven range.

The Bosch microwave is a perfectly sized replacement for the existing space over our stove. The unit works well and the 3 speed fan helps clear the kitchen air (though it is a bit noisy).
The finger touch control panel takes a bit of finger pressure to set and is a little more challenging if you have arthritic fingers. The dual lighting works well, especially the brighter setting which seems to illuminate more surface space.

Cannot hear the timer when it goes off... even when I'm very near. The "ding" only goes off once and if I cannot hear the "ding" my item could sit in the microwave until I remember. Also seems like I need to warm my item longer than my previous microwave.

My entire kitchen is filled with Bosch appliances and I wouldn't have it any other way! When my longime Microwave stopped working, of course, I replaced it with another Bosch. We've been using the new Bosch over-the-stove MW for about a month now and love it. It has a lot of presets if you want to use them. I like that you just put in the time and hit Start - I don't miss the quick times (hit 1 for 1 minute full power, etc.) that we had on our old GE MW. Too many times I forgot and overcooked the food with those quick times. I do wish the numbers on the touchpad were a bit larger for these older eyes - also, backlighting them would be helpful as well. Other than that, though, no complaints and it looks nice with our new Bosch fridge and stove.

The microwave over the stove is beautiful no issues with appearance. Not user friendly you must push multiple buttons to get anything to happen. Compared to other microwaves I've had it's very noisy. I bought it because reviews said it was the best, might be but not the best for me wish I hadn't bought it. I've owned mini Bosch products, their dishwashers are awesome.

I love my microwave. Love my refrigerator, stove, dishwasher I put them in all our 3 apartments. The water inside the door works great no mess on the outside. Always have plenty of ice in refrigerator. GREAT APPLIANCES. Also the rebates help just have to wait for it for 6-8 weeks.

my 800 series ($1,000)stopped working after only 4 years, so I ordered a 500 Series ($700) to save money. It stopped heating after 2 days. My whole kitchen is Bosch and I do not trust the brand any longer.

We moved from Long Island 2022, where we redid our kitchen with all Bosch appliances. Our new home build was only supplied with Samsung. Sadly we knew we wanted Bosch and planned to start replacing appliances soon after moving in. We held on as long as possible but our microwave started giving us a problem. We immediately decided to change it to Bosch. So glad we did. Our near future will bring all the Bosch family of appliciances to us.

This dies exactly 5 years after manufacture date. It will cost more to fix than replace. A cheap walmart microwave will last longer as Bosch will not stand by their products past 1 year. Look at other reviews- same issue. The /magnitron/capacitor will fail.

Works good except the panel trim above the door fell off. Lucky we didn't have anything cooking on the stove below. Of course this happened after the warranty expired. Both tabs used to hold it were broken off.

Over the range microwave came with new construction home. Vent cover broke off and fell to the floor. Under warranty,requested part and we fixed it. Happed again, they came out two more times.Warranty now over, they want you to buy the zillion dollar extended warranty! Holding with DUCT TAPE! Faulty method of attachment, will never connect properly unless they change the part. customer service is a joke. They apologize and say thank you but they do NOTHING. Please don't think I'm rough on the my appliances, I am not. Read others on line with same complaint.

The unit heats food well and would be optimized if the turntable would automatically start every time. I place food on the table, push Start - the machine starts but not the turntable. I open the door, move the table R or L 1/4 turn and then it begins to rotate upon pressing Start a 2nd time.

This is secomd microwave I bought from Bosch - first quit working after 8 yrs -then this model HMV5053U lasted just short of 5yrs before having a serious short circuit issue rendering it a paperweight - these microwaves do not last - likely will havre to change brands
